This agreement does not infringe on members` rights under other international instruments, including the right to use good offices or dispute resolution mechanisms of other international organizations or that have been established under an international agreement. Reaffirming that no Member should be prevented from taking or enforcing the measures necessary to protect human, animal or plant life or health, unless these measures are applied in such a way as to constitute a means of arbitrary or unjustified discrimination between members in the event of equal conditions or disguised restrictions on international trade; (c) for plant health, international standards, guidelines and recommendations developed under the auspices of the secretariat of the International Convention on Plant Protection, in cooperation with regional organizations active in the international Convention on Plant Protection; and one. Exporting members who claim that areas within their territory are areas free of pests or disease or areas of low plant health or disease risk, must provide the necessary evidence to objectively demonstrate to the importing member that these areas are and will remain areas free of or free of disease.

To this end, appropriate access to inspection, inspection and other relevant procedures is granted to the importing member who requests it.
